I personally liked the cover art, but it didn't seem apropos for the novel. I'm not sure where I stand on the content at this point. It was interesting to me, but there really wasn't enough in the excerpt for me to get a feel for how the story would flow or where it would lead. The "hook" is probably further into the novel, and perhaps the excerpt should have started later in the book.
