I usually do not go for books like this one in terms of the novels that pique my interest and make me want to read them, but this one seemed interesting and entertaining. The plot seemed slightly intriguing, as it focuses on an adventurer who must fend for himself in the northern sea and rely on his own personal knowledge of historical expeditions to survive after being separated from his guide. The first couple of pages made me want to really give the novel a chance and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it so far. I like that the author includes themes such as Inuit mythology, storytelling, and nature, and I also think the cover is quite interesting as well.
