This novel is definitely an interesting one. I like that it turns the heroic white male trope on its head when it comes to exploring. Plus, the narrator is left by themself eventually, so they have to not only deal with the truth of their actions as a storyteller/ liar, but also, the threat of the survival in an Artic land he doesn't understand.
