I’m inclined to say that I was too quick to judge this book by its cover and assumed I would hate it, but I truly like the cover, so it wasn’t that. It was probably the book blurb’s suggestion of a macabre adventure in a cold place. Yuck. Yet, for some reason, I suspect if the main character were female I might have felt differently. At any rate, the writing was good, I chuckled a few times, and the plot moved relatively fast enough to draw me in. But with all that said, I’m still not interested in reading it. Maybe if the main character were female…
