To be honest in the beginning I though this story started out a little bit slow but I am soooo glad I stuck with it because it go so much better as the story unfolded and went on. Darling Seabreak and Talon Goldhoard - kinda silly names but the characters themselves were anything but silly. Both had a family member murdered and both were set on revenge. The plot was unique and kept me interested and invested in the story. That cliff hanger at the end ugh! Now I need the second book to see how this story continues for sure. This was on the more violent side of YA books with a lot of blood, gore and death. I don't mind those things and thought they made the story more interesting and kept my attention. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book in this series and finding out where these characters and how this story continues from here...
