I really enjoyed this. It is a true YA with fade to black sex and references to drinking. I enjoyed the world building and the court politics. The boons were interesting. Caspian is the most fascinating character and I hope we get more of him in the next book. I enjoyed darling but wanted more of her backstory. Talon was a predicable staid character who was likable if a bit boring. I really enjoyed the boons and how they tied in to both the history and the current story. I enjoyed the diversity of the book. I do wish the story had some more depth. I loved the artwork inside the cover and have no clue where the story is going and am intrigued. The cliffhanger did catch me by surprise. I enjoyed the romance between Talon and Darling but wish the book showed stronger friendships than it did. It also referenced Darling as being bisexual but we didn’t see it.
