It only took a few pages to get wrapped up in the story of chaos and war, and to care what happens to the characters we only meet in a few impressions on a few pages. I was immediately engaged in the struggles these characters are facing, set against a backdrop of generational war, and I'm eager to see where the story goes. If these first few chapters are any indication, this will be an enthralling story, with adventure, tragedy (both internal and external), self-discovery, and strong character voices.
