First off, this cover is giving Priory of the Orange Tree vibes and that can only be a good thing, right? On to the actually book, the writing is very well done and immediately immerses you into a story of dragons and magic and war. Since this is a fantasy novel, there is a ton of world building within the first few chapters which is a bit overwhelming, but again, the writing is very well done and I was able to keep up. I’m very intrigued by Darling and Talon and the war going on between the houses. I’m definitely adding this to my tbr list!
