I found certain things interesting: invincibility but her eyes are damaged, gift of prophecy across the generations, mystery of who murdered the mother (my theory is the scion). But the issue is that I am not getting into the writing. I really was excited about this one because of Justina Ireland who wrote Deathless Divide, but I forgot that I DNF Dread Nation.
Obviously, later on Darling is going to find out that she is not the only one of her kind left but I did feel a way when it was first mentioned about she could be the last of her kind.
