Usually high fantasy books are bogged down (in my opinion) by too much explanation and description and not enough action. In this book, it seems from the first impression that the author keeps the action moving while explaining the world. This is a hard feat to do, but is a good sign that makes me want to keep reading since I know it won't be too confusing.
