Young adult fantasy romances are my guilty pleasure, and this one definitely fit the bill. Sometimes with fantasy books, it is hard to get into the story because there is world-building taking place, and we have to read things that we don't understand yet. With this first look, I felt like I was immersed into this fantasy world right away and there was little adjustment period where I felt lost in the world-building. I also like the dual POV where the reader can see both Darling's and Talon's thoughts. This seems like a solid YA fantasy romance read that I would definitely jump right into.
