This novel is said to be a kind of re-telling of Jane Austin's Persuasion, a novel I've not read. With that said, I'm going to read it...By The Book was my persuasion to do so. I absolutely loved this novel. I read the book in less than 12 hours! Anne Corey, a strong, well developed female lead. She seemed as the book went on she became more comfortable in her own skin.
From the start, I wanted Anne and Adam to be together. Then Rick showed up- Grr! We've all had a Rick type person in our lives at some point. Larry, oh I absolutely LOVE Larry!!!
I 100% would recommend this book to others. I loved how true and real the author made this book feel towards the reader! It definitely is a love letter to book lovers, thank you!
