By the Book was the first book I've read by Julia Sonnborne and I have to say that it definitely won't be the last! I really love all of Jane Austen's works so when I hear about a retelling, even a loose retelling such as this one, I'm all over it! Persuasion is one of my favorite of Jane Austen's works so I really did have high hopes for this book and I'm happy to say it came through! It really lived up to my expectations. The story was really cute and the writing was great. It was a really quick and enjoyable read. I loved the characters and found myself really relating to and rooting for Anne. I really found her struggles through the story relatable and wanted to see her find happiness and love! I highly recommend this story for Jane Austen and Romance readers!
