Overall, I really enjoyed this book. This book follows Buck, a Starbucks supervisor turned businessman. What I liked about this book was the pacing of it. While it was not initially a thriller, it had a very similar pacing to a thriller. In addition, all of the characters were extremely interesting and well developed even the characters we did not hear from super often. I was always on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen with Buck next. Something else this book did that was interesting was almost break the "fourth wall" for readers by offering periodic advice and letting us know that he was writing the story for us.
The one thing I did not love about this book was that it seemed to be tackling too many issues all at once. I think it may have been more effective to perhaps focus in on a few issues. It just felt as though there was a lot going on at times.
