I really enjoyed this read. It was funny, but raw and honest. We see the world through the lens of a young, black man and his struggles to learn to "sell" amidst the racism that threatens to squelch his progress and his goals. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a wild ride. While things may not come to pass in the way that the reader predicts, we come to care for the characters and we root for them and feel for them when they lose. While this may not become an I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings or Their Eyes Were Watching God, there is definitely important information about the racism that still exists in America and how it effects the lives of those who are just trying to grasp the Amerian Dream. In this book, we see how wealth and prosperity can seem to cause dreams to come true, but can complicate things quite a lot as well. A definite thought provoking read.
