The first thought that comes to mind when I read the sneak peek was that it was different. This is the first time I read something from an African-American author and consider me impressed. The start fo chapter 5 was just delightfully insightful.
I've been liking a lot of books that have a main character that is people of color because I find the topics between the lines very meaningful. When I read the chapters I was amazed at how the author touched up the topics I love from the get-go. I'm just awed by it.
The cover too is so colorful that it immediately captures your eye even from afar. I would love to have this book added to my shelf!
