I didn't read the description before reading the First Look so the whole time I kept thinking how much it reminded me of Wolf of Wall Street with the added hardship of being black. The second to last sentence made me chuckle/cringe. "I should’ve known from the Middle Passage to never trust a white man who says, “Take a seat.”' I will definitely be reading this once it's pulished!
