Our heroine in Behind Every Lie is struck by lightning, accused of murder, kidnapped, suffers from amnesia and was raped. But wait... there’s more. If Eva didn’t have bad luck, she wouldn’t have any luck at all. Keeping track of every detail in this book becomes trying because our heroine is not who she thinks she is. Her Mom is not who we think she is. Her boyfriend is definitely not who we think he is but her Dad is definitely a bad guy. OMG, Eva has one messed up personal life and she is the only one who doesn’t know it.

Over time, the story became a bit confusing as it was hard to see how she got away from detectives and her boyfriend to undertake her amateur sleuthing. It was not bad and I enjoyed the read. It could have been better.

Really 3.5 stars.

Just okay.
