This was a good read and the author kept the story moving at a steady pace. I really liked the way the author was able to switch between Eva’s and Kat’s perspectives. It was also interesting to read how everything that happened in the past (from Kat’s point of view) lead up to the present (in Eva’s point of view). I really loved Christina McDonald’s novel The Night Olivia Fell and I had very high expectations for this novel. Unfortunately Behind Every Lie did not meet my expectations. It was still a good book and I appreciated the plot. However I felt I was able to predict what was going to happen throughout the book. I also felt that the end of the book was wrapped up too quickly. I would have liked to find out more about what happened after Eva was able to remember the night her mother was murdered. I felt it was a little too glossed over in the end. Still a good read though!
