Interesting beginning. I am not a fan of character narrative going back and forth in time. Implausible that Eva has not introduced her fiancé to her family after a year’s relationship. Dialogue between the characters appears to be relevant. Getting hit by lightning after either seeing a loved one be murdered or actually doing the murder is a different but effective hook to entice the reader to continue with the story. Does she have amnesia or is she pretending to have amnesia. Too early in the story to decide. The attending doctor provided symptoms that may or may not happen. The symptoms could conveniently explain the main character’s behavior as the story progresses. If this book was available as a library book to check out and then return I would read it.
