Not Horrible, but Could Be Better

MacDonald's first book, The Night Olivia Fell, was a decent fast-paced book, so I was excited to read this one. The premise is of a woman who has been struck by lightning and can not recall the events leading up to her mother's death. She is a potential suspect in the murder.

I read MacDonald's books back to back and I felt that some plot action and character types were very similar in each. Although this was also very fast paced, there was almost too much going on that it seemed chaotic and a bit far fetched at times (can you really elude detectives for that long??). The ending was a bit predictable.

Overall, the book wasn't horrible, but it could have been better. Just an OK, middle of the road read for me.
