Christina McDonald writes a chilling story of past and present colliding and what is left in the aftermath. The novel is home of harbored secrets, lies, and betrayal between a mother and a daughter. As the story unwinds and the perspectives shift within the narrative, the reader is given a glimpse into a wildly unstable and twisted family dynamics. Ones in which bring the reader further down the rabbit hole of inconceivable notions. Bravo to Christina McDonald for setting an apt scene that wholly takes over the plot. The reader is left on edge the entire way through this dynamic and utterly twisted domestic thriller. Absolutely loved it and is a highly recommended for books clubs everywhere. 5 stars.
