What a great follow up to The Night Olivia Fell. I had received this book from NetGalley in exchange for my review.

A mother and daughter have a strained relationship that in the beginning is unclear to the us in the beginning. Then Eve's mother Kat turns up dead and Eve is their only suspect. Eve wakes up in the hospital after being struck by lightening and covered with blood. As the story unfolds both from Eve's, Kat's and even Aunt Lily you learn what has happened and you get a inside look into the family dynamic.

I love how she reviews family relationships. Especially between mothers and daughters. She dives deep into secrets and things that have happened in the past between these three women and how it affects the present day. This was another page turner by Christina Mcdonald and was an excellent second novel! I can't wait to see what she does next.
