I connected with this book due to being adopted and searching into my background, as the main character does. I loved the setting for this book - dreary and cold, it fit well with the plot. Although I did figure out most of the twists early in the book, it was still good to read and figure out what exactly happened and how we got to the twists. Some of the plot was questionable as to being realistic but suspending some disbelief is always good with thrillers, lol!
If you don’t read a lot of thrillers or suspense books, you may not be able to see the twists coming and be surprised more than I was! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense/thrillers and if you don’t mind alternating timelines. Alternating timelines is not everyone’s jam, so be aware of that before picking this up!
