Christina McDonald wrote something on her fan page about the importance of opening lines. I couldn't agree more. Those first few lines largely affect my desire to read more. McDonald gets it and she knows how to accomplish her goal. She pulls the reader right in with a captivating first sentence and continues to satisfy with well-written, suspenseful development. I am incredibly interested in seeing what exactly can be found behind every lie.
