The intro started off with the current phase of the story and then seemed to go back in time. The book so far seems like it's coming together nicely but I'm anxious to know who Laura and her mother have to do with the story. They must be a critical part or the author wouldn't have mentioned them in great detail. Curious if this book is anything at all like The Night Olivia Fell.
