I enjoy reading a thriller every once in a while but unfortunately Behind Every Lie didn't hook me with these first few chapters. Although the murder occurs early in the story, I didn't immediately connect with any of the characters, especially the main character Eva. There are subtle hints, and Kat's point of view was intriguing, but I'm uncertain if I will pick up the book to read the rest. The cover also doesn't stand out to me.
