The premise of this novel reminds me of one of my favorite reads from this year, Pieces of Her by Karin Slaughter. Mother-daughter relationships go through so many ups and downs and are so complicated -- your mother can be your best friend, yet there is so much you may not know about her and her life before you. I'm so excited to read this book and learn about Kat through Eva's eyes.
