Incredible start, the mystery is instantly interesting.

I like the fast pace, the writing style has a simplicity that seems widely appealing. I could imagine YA, New Adult, and the main adult demographic all getting into this one. The short chapters seem to hint toward a fast read. But I am most impressed by the characterization so far. The characters seem vividly realized already, and there is an air of mystery due to the jump backward in time after a major and questionable event. Very curious about who can and can't be trusted. Even the protagonist seems like an unreliable narrator. Will definitely check this one out.
