A story with a unreliable point of view always sets the scene for an epic psychological thriller. Eva eludes to something in her past making her an untrustworthy person so much so that she is keeping it from her fiancé. Then the murder of her mother happens and she has an adulterated memory thanks to a freak accident by lightning.

The story grasps the readers attention with the opening prologue and paints the story in descriptive prose. The characters each have their own voice and the reader quickly enters into their own detective mode to figure out the secrets. I think fans of the genre will enjoy this book.
