Getting struck by lightening has some terrible effects on the body and the idea of this character being able to recover in such a short amount of time and then be able to hunt for the truth about her mother's death is a little more like a fantasy novel than a straight up mystery. After stating that however, the writing style overall is well done and I think the complexity of mother/daughter relationships will be an interesting backdrop to this story.
