What are you scared of? The list Maddie makes for her therapists scared me. She is scared of her husband and terrified he will hurt her son, Charlie. It did not help that I knew there was a dead body. Who is that dead body? Maddie, a beautiful but scarred woman? Ian, a PTSD victim with a survival bunker in his basement? Charlie, an innocent toddler? Jo, a onetime best friend turned enemy? The more I read, the more scared I was for these people. The stories of living in war torn and lawless countries, struggles to try to live a normal life, threats from old girlfriends. The twists and turns in their lives were endless. I cannot decide if I like the ending. I may need a sequel to make sure justice is served.
