This book just doesn't seem like my type of book I'd pick up, I prefer books that are more based on fantasy or a contemporary, so this book probably wasn't for me.
I've never been a fan of book covers with people's faces on them. When books have people's faces on them, I feel like it limits the imagination of what you think the character looks like and that that character HAS to look like the person on the cover.
Troubled pasts and secrets don't really pull me into a story very much, if anything it pushes me away because the author couldn't think of anything else to pull the reader into reading their book.
