Nothing Like an Emergency Phone Call to Start a Pulse Pounding Story

The author does one of my favorite things, she grabbed my attention from page one. I don't mind a slow build, but I prefer being hooked from the beginning. What could have happened to cause such an alarming phone call & is everyone in the house ok? I certainly want to know what is going on, meaning Beautiful Bad is now on my TBR list.
