After reading the sample provided, I'm still not sure about this book. I think the cover would grab my attention, but the opening chapter is too descriptive. I think the author writes like a high school freshman, just learning how to use adjectives, trying to use as many as possible to increase word count. I would give it a chance, but I don't like the opening.
