I like that there are few different perspectives here and a shifting timeline, and given the genre you don’t know whether to trust Maddie, her list of things she’s afraid of is peppered with mentions of her son’s father, but was that on purpose? It’s intriguing so far. The cover seemingly suits the subject matter, it’s appropriately ominous.
