The book starts off chaotic. Different plot lines that end suddenly while another one takes up it's place. Similar to the old Koontz-style. The plot line with the murder lacks anything unique to grab your interest, perhaps one key clue as to what's going on in the 911 call. Something to lend some more mystery to that aspect of the plot.
The second plot line about the woman with anxiety does grab my interest because I'm drawn to the character. But it ends too quickly, jumping back in the past.
