Psychological thrillers are my jam, so as soon as I saw the blurb for this book, I was immediately drawn to it.
Just as advertised, this is a story that will surely be twisted, addictive, and I can only hope that it will have an ending that no one sees coming. The perfect “Middle America” small town suburban life gone wrong is one of the most popular settings in current fiction lit, it seems, and for good reason.
These first three chapter most definitely did not disappoint, and have, in fact, left me craving the entirely of the novel. My heart hammered in my chest as I read that first chapter, and the succeeding chapters just left me wanting to know more of Maddie and Ian, and what happens to turn their lives upside down. I can’t wait to get my hands on this book, and will definitely be recommending it to friends in the meantime.
