I loved this book so much!!! I'd been in kind of a fantasy reading slump this year, to the point where I was afraid that I would not be able to enjoy fantasy again.
But, I was wrong.
This book. This freaking book. It was fabulous. Adventurous. Gripping. It was just everything.
The characters were awesome. They were quite relatable and realistic. The atmosphere was just great. The world building was immaculate. The adventure was scary, thrilling, gripping, everything. The romance was just perfect.
Literally, I have no complaints. I adored Koffi and Ekon. I got to know Adiah. I loved the world that the book was set in, and I especially loved the scenes in the greater jungle.
I would also like to take a moment and just appreciate the maps in the beginning of the book. They are so detailed and just ugh. Amazing.
The writing style was great, the plot pacing was just right. Seriously, just read the book asap.
