Beasts of Prey is such a great read! There was a delay in the shipping, so I didn't get this book until over a month after I won it, but I can honestly say that it was worth the wait! (And I'm so grateful to have received an early copy!)
The suspense and tension from the moment Koffi and Ekon entered the Great Jungle was spot on! The author definitely has a way with words, and keeping readers on their toes from the first chapter!
I also loved Koffi and Ekon's dynamic throughout the story. It was really intriguing seeing how their alliance comes together, and where it ultimately stands at the end.
The pan-African-inspired world was beautiful to read about. I felt immersed the entire time I was reading, and loved the lore weaved into the story. The Shetani was an interesting monster too! In fact, all the creatures in this world are fascinating! Plus, the idea that some things that are dangerous are just misunderstood--so good!
