It’s not often a book pulls me in on the first chapter let alone the first page!
The writing style is very easy to read and follow. The author has combined world building, character development and plot line all in a way that allows you to absorb information without info dumping.
I’ve not read many fantasy worlds set in the jungle, but the descriptive words of this place are well done - I can actually feel the humidity and be able to depict the scenes in vivid detail.
From just three chapters, I’m totally hooked on the world, the characters and can’t wait to continue this story.
So far, we’ve been introduced to at least two POVs and I’m excited to see how each character will grow and change and how their paths cross. Do I also possibly sense an animal familiar vibe??
