I thought this book was beautiful from start to finish! The imagery and writing style were fantastic and I felt sucked into the world the characters lived in. The concept of the Night Zoo and the jungle being alive with all sorts of magical creatures was a really fun thing to read about. The characters were well developed and there was adequate world building by the author. The story moved along quickly and kept me interested.
The only negative I have was that I noticed 5 or 6 grammatical errors or typos as I was reading, but I guess that's to be expected from a copy that is not finalized yet. Hopefully those will all be corrected since it was jarring and distracting to find errors as I was reading.
Overall, I highly recommend Beasts of Prey for anyone who enjoys young adult or fantasy novels. I'm excited to see where the story leads next since the ending was so great!
