From the first word I didn’t want to put this book down. Koffi and Elon are both characters that you easily fall in love with. You spend the book cheering for them and feeling the emotions they feel. When they make bad decisions you want to yell at them and hope they will soon find their way back to the right path. There is a sweet romance that is worked perfectly into the background and lets the action and character development lead the story. It’s a fast paced story until the end and than your heart will stop. It’s almost painful to read but you can’t stop because you have to know what is going to happen. There is a third point of view from Adiah which is a past and parallel view of what is happening. Adiah is easy to love as well and her story will break your heart. It all ends in a cliffhanger. Which is both wonderful that the story continues and horrible as I have to wait for the next book.
