Seeing four whole pages set aside for maps immediately peaked my interest. I firmly believe all books should come with maps! And that first line definitely is pulling me in - "but I know better" is very ominous and intriguing!
From right off the bat we are dropped into a night with the MC and a lot of things or people are alluded (Sons of Six, Tao and then Night Zoo, Baaz, etc.) that we are not yet privvy to. I kinda enjoy getting dropped in like this and am now able to anticipate what the exact context may be.
I like the transition from the prologue in first to Part 1 in third-person. A little unsure how that plays in this story but keen to learn more!
