As the Black Lives Matter movement gains movement and traction, it is only fitting that the world of literature becomes more expansive as well, including widening the very small world of black-based fantasy. This book does a wonderful job of doing this, creating a rich and colorful world with its own mythos. I am no longer a huge fan of YA series, but it will be interesting to see what this author is capable of.
