This is a part of my quest to go back through and hit all the old books in an effort to garner more points to use on free books. In so doing, I download a bunch of the excerpts, slap them on the nook, and then later, offline, read through them and make notes, only to come back here to write those up at a later point.
The blurb on this one makes it seem as though the author was trying for fictionalized nonfiction, but when you open it up, whoo-boy, you're straight in crazyland, tin foil hat required. It's another spy novel. It's cliched, but at least it acknowledges that it is cliched which is more than most. It's fiction. it's got a bunch of sexist twaddle that would make it a candidate for "Men Writing Women" on twitter. It's pretty terrible. If I found it by the side of the road and had absolutely nothing better to do or read, I might pick it up, because it's not boring, but man, you've got to be in the right frame of mind to touch this train wreck. Just sit back and watch it burn
