This was a bright, fun romance novel. The story unfolds with former high school sweethearts, Alejandro & Anamarie, thrown together repeatedly by their meddling Cuban mothers. They broke up when Alejandro left to become a world famous photographer, but now he's back in Key West following an injury. The characters are amazing, fully developed and lovable. I love the descriptions of Key West and the culture of the families that's blended into the story. Anamarie is a fierce lady who knows what she wants, and the chemistry between her and Alejandro is hot! Apparently, this is a follow up to Island Affair, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything by not reading it, so they don't have to be read in order. The ending of the book felt a little rushed. There was a ton of lead up, but then it seemed like time skipped forward a lot in the final chapters. Otherwise, a great book!
