Really enjoyed this second chance romance set in Key West. I’m a sucker for rough family situations, so I really felt for Alejandro as he recuperated around the father that he struggled to fix a past relationship with. His female family members are all excited to have him home and around to pamper, and his ex is feeling the pressure to help him to get better as she has medical know-how and has maintained a close relationship with his family on top of the very close ties to her own that made her choose to stay in Key West instead of going off into the sunset with him all those years ago.
I grabbed the first one once I realized this was a series and read them back to back and really enjoyed them. I love a romance with a backstory and already built relationship that is progressing over something that feels more Insta-love, so I really enjoyed that the characters already have strong feelings about each other.
I also liked the cover a lot, thought it was really fun.
