I really expected to love this one, so I'm super disappointed that I didn't. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good either. It felt like it was dragging on a bit at around the 75% mark, and I could feel my desire to read this drop.

I think my main problem with this was the romance. Namely, it being too slow burn. Don't get me wrong, I love slowburn romances. What I don't like is characters refusing to discuss their feelings until the 340th page of a 350 page book. Because the romance took so long, there was very plot. I loved the dynamics at the beginning, but my interest started lessening after after 50% mark.

I also had problems with the way this was written. I really disliked the bits of Spanish thrown in. I only speak English, so this is totally a personal preference. It did help set the atmosphere, but it also kept me from engaging fully. Every time I would start reading, I would immediately have to try and translate a bit of Spanish. I can see people loving this element if they speak the language, but it wasn't my thing.

This book wasn't bad, but I just don't feel any towards it. I had expected this to be a light romcom, and sadly, this didn't deliver
