A Rom-Com Second Chance
I love everything romance. You name it, but one trope I struggle to get behind is a second chance romance. In this book, two high school sweathearts reunite after a tragic accident.
For me, second chance is tough because the reason the characters broke up in the first place. But I can get behind the idea of a right person wrong time. I think it’s interesting how these two can fall in love again after maturing over the years.
This book was super predictable, but ultimately a good read. I felt like the characters had to work to be together a little bit more than in the first book in the series. The spice was also more than the last book, I would give it a 2-3/5 on the spice scale. It’s definitely present but nothing crazy.
The cover is giving the unhoneymooners vibes, so I love the beachy/summer reading vibes it’s giving. The cover is discrete for the fact that it’s a romance book, which I always appreciate!
